New: Splash! outdoor play terrace
Good news! The new outdoor play terrace of the children's exhibition 'Splash! The Future of the Sea' is open from Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The new rooftop terrace will become an adventurous play area for children aged approximately 3 to 8. Here, they can climb, clamber, carry things, and run while their imagination is stimulated. The outdoor area ties in with the narrative of the indoor exhibition and centers around a future-oriented sea farm: a place at sea where food, nature, and energy come together.
Children build, discover, and play as if they are working on the future at sea themselves. Large play elements are combined with smaller surprises and hidden jokes that invite imaginative play. At the same time, there is space for parents to sit and watch as young explorers invent their own stories.

We are testing the outdoor terrace. Members of our kids' club 'Zeesterren' get to be the first to test everything. Will you be one of the first?

Summer vacation: Have fun playing!!
The summer holidays start on July 18th!! Then you can play and learn on the terrace again. We are really looking forward to it.
