Build your own sea farm
In the future, more and more food will be grown at sea. That’s different to being on land. Do you have enough clean water? How do you get enough power? Is your structure sturdy enough? In this game, you discover how everything is connected. Use the blocks to build things and keep an eye on the meters on the screen!
1. Enough water
We are at sea, but that‘s salt water that can’t be used. So you need enough fresh water.
You can for example take one of these blocks:
- Rainwater collection
- Seawater desalination
2. Enough energy
Your sea farm also needs energy. You can generate and store energy by combining the right blocks.
You can for example take one of these blocks:
- Wind turbine
- Wave power
3. Enough nutrients
A farm produces food, but it can’t do that without enough nutrients. Find the basic food and put it in the right place.
You can for example take one of these blocks:
- Kelp
- Purple laver
4. Enough marine life
There are no healthy seas without life in them. You need to take that into account when building a sea farm. See what influence the various blocks have on marine life.
You can for example take one of these blocks:
- Mussels
- Oysters
Take your sea farm home with you
Scan your wristband if you are happy with your sea farm. Scan your wristband at the ‘finish’ screen at the exit before going home. You will then receive your farm and many more fun things by e-mail. Don’t forget to return your wristband when you are done so that someone else can play with it!
